Latest confirmed coronavirus cases across Nottinghamshire from Public Health England

Public Health England has released the latest figures for the number of coronavirus cases across Nottinghamshire.

The data, which only includes lab-tested cases, shows there have been a further 60 positive cases across Nottingham city and the county in the past two days.

In Nottingham, the number of cases increased from 416 (April 22) to 451 as of Friday, April 24, an increase of 35 since Wednesday.

Figures also show the number of cases in Nottinghamshire increased from 928 (April 22) to 953 as of Friday, April 24, marking an increase of 25 since Wednesday.

The total number of cases now stands at 1,404.

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust also confirmed a further seven people had died in hospital between March 21 and April 21, bringing the total to 169.

Yesterday (April 23) shadow health and social care minister Alex Norris told Nottinghamshire Live it "stands to reason" that the county had reached the peak of the outbreak.

In the rest of the UK, there are now 143,464 confirmed cases, while a total of 19,506 people had died in hospital alone.

The Government also today announced all key workers could apply to get tested, as officials push to increase testing capacity to 100,000 per day.
