Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: Willian admission, Anel Ahmedhodzic battle, Michael Olise blow

After a very busy summer transfer window, it would hardly be surprising if Chelsea were one of the most-involved clubs in January.

Roman Abramovich massively backed Frank Lampard over the summer, allowing him more than £200m to spend on a whole new wave of talent.

However, players are also being linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge as the Blues look to balance the books.

Here, we have gathered the very latest Chelsea-related transfer rumours from around Europe.

Willian opens up on Blues exit

Former Chelsea favourite Willian has opened up on his move away from Stamford Bridge, and joining London rivals Arsenal.

The Brazilian winger saw his contract at the Blues run out at the end of the 2019/20 season and after a failure to agree a new deal with Lampard's side, he moved to the Emirates Stadium instead.

Willian told the Daily Mail : "They knew how much I wanted to stay. I wanted to be a legend for the club. It was strange, but Arsenal was different. Every day they called my agent and wanted to meet or talk.

"They really wanted me to go there.

"That's the difference. I see one club that made a lot of effort for me to go there, pushing a lot and another who just said: 'Two years or go'. I was a little bid sad with that but I respected Chelsea's policy."

Ahmedhodzic competition

AC Milan are set to rival Chelsea in the race to sign Malmo defender Anel Ahmedhodzic, according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.

The Blues, along with Milan, are tracking Ahmedhodzic's progress with the Swedish club, and is reportedly valued at €10m.

Lampard's defence has drastically improved in recent weeks, but the 21-year-old would very much be one for the future with Thiago Silva being 36.

However, it won't be easy for Chelsea to land the twice-capped Bosnia and Herzegovina international, with European giants Milan now showing an interest.

Reading stance on Olise

Reading have "no plans" to get rid of Chelsea-linked Michael Olise in the upcoming January transfer window, according to Football League World.

The 18-year-old caught the eye of a number of European teams this season so far, and has helped the Royals with their fantastic start in the Championship.

According to the website, Veljko Paunovic's side will look to open new contract talks with Olise in the new year and currently have no intentions of letting their starlet leave the club.

It was reported recently that the teenager has an £8m release clause in his current deal with the Championship club.
