Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: Trio of potential exits, Olivier Giroud makes admission

Chelsea now have a squad full of new faces following their very busy summer transfer window.

The Blues signed seven new players in total, with Frank Lampard trying to close the gap to Liverpool and Manchester City this season.

Now, we’re less than three months away from the next window opening and if rumours are to be believed, then Lampard will be looking to add to his squad even more.

As well as that, there are still some Chelsea players whose futures remain uncertain at the club - here are the latest rumours.

Where does Jorginho's future lie?

Rahman wanted by Championship clubs

Chelsea left-back Baba Rahman is a loan target for both Watford and Middlesbrough, according to Goal.

The Championship duo are both interested in taking Rahman on a season-long loan deal before the domestic-only window closes on October 16.

The Hornets and Boro have both made offers to the Blues for their out-of-favour full-back, who has not reached his true potential since moving to Stamford Bridge in 2015.

The 26-year-old still has just under two years of his current contract at the club remaining, and looks set to leave on loan for a fourth time since moving to England.

Inter want either Emerson or Alonso

Inter Milan are interested in signing either of Chelsea’s two left-backs - Emerson Palmieri or Marcos Alonso.

That’s according to Tuttosport via Sempre Inter, who claim that the Blues defenders were both the subjects of bids from the Serie A giants in the summer window.

Inter offered loan deals with a buy option, but Lampard’s side wanted to sell straight away, rather than having to wait for the money.

Antonio Conte is in charge of the Milan-based side, who of course managed both full-backs when he was Chelsea boss.

Giroud hints at move

Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has hinted that he could move away from Stamford Bridge soon and switch to the Serie A.

Giroud’s future with the Blues was subject of plenty of speculation in the summer, but the France forward is staying with the London side until January - at the least.

The ex-Arsenal striker hinted at a move away from Chelsea in an interview, per the Express: “I’ve been close to moving to Serie A. They appreciated experienced players there, but the transfer didn’t materialise.

“For the future, we will see what happens. I will decide by evaluating the opportunities I will have. I’m not ruling out anything, but for now, I don’t see me returning to Ligue 1. I’d like to play at the highest level in Europe for another two or three years, then maybe I’ll go to the United States.”
