Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: Thomas Partey decision, Ruben Loftus-Cheek exit

Deadline day has arrived and the clock is ticking for Chelsea to add to their squad before the window shuts.

The Blues have been one of the busiest clubs in the Premier League so far this summer, adding seven new players.

Due to this, it may be a case of offloading players rather than bringing them to Stamford Bridge in the latter stages of the transfer window.

Here are the latest transfer rumours concerning Chelsea.

Chelsea 4-0 Crystal Palace: Press conference with Frank Lampard

Thomas Partey decision

Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey is a name that has been linked with Chelsea in recent days with the Ghana international seen as an alternative to Declan Rice.

Atletico are willing to sell, but only if a club matches the £45m release clause in his contract.

Arsenal have also been linked with Partey, but the Gunners have failed to reach that so far and Sky Sports report that it is ‘unlikely’ a deal for the midfielder will be completed before tonight’s deadline, with Atletico 'counting' on the player.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek exit?

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been widely linked with a move away from Chelsea this window, with a handful of clubs looking to sign the midfielder on loan.

Aston Villa, Southampton and West Ham have all been credited with an interest, but The Mail report that Fulham are hopeful of sealing a loan move for the England international.

Frank Lampard recently admitted that the Chelsea academy graduate could move to gain regular playing time.

Milan chase Rudiger loan deal

AC Milan are pushing for a deal to sign Chelsea defender Rudiger on a season-long loan, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Italian journalist tweeted that the Serie A giants are now trying to sign the German centre-back, who isn’t considered part of Lampard’s plans this season.

Milan were pursuing Schalke defender Ozan Kabak, and even offered €15m for his services, but the German side are after about €10m more.

Now, it seems that Milan are looking at alternatives for Kabak, and the Blues centre-back appears to be one of them.
