Chelsea maintained their hopes of securing a top-four finish in the Premier League this season after recording a hard-fought 2-2 draw with AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.
Two goals from Marcos Alonso either side of a Bournemouth double was enough to secure a point for Frank Lampard's side, who remain fourth in the league table, three points ahead of Manchester United, who missed the chance to cut the gap to one point with a 1-1 draw at Everton on Sunday.
But the Blues will have to put their top-four aspirations to one side on Tuesday evening as they switch their attentions to the FA Cup, with Liverpool visiting Stamford Bridge in a highly anticipated fifth-round clash.
With their Champions League hopes hanging by a very, very fine thread and the Premier League title long gone, the FA Cup is the Blues' only hope of landing a piece of silverware this season.
However, Chelsea will no doubt be looking to enjoy a far more successful campaign next summer, meaning Lampard will be hoping to have a busy summer on the transfer front.
With that in mind, here is a round-up of the day's very latest Chelsea transfer news.
Blues eye Telles
Chelsea News are reporting that the Blues will show an interest in signing Porto left-back Alex Telles this summer.
The West London club are most likely to be in the market for a new left-back this summer, as the futures of Emerson and Marcos Alonso are both in doubt.
Telles, a Brazilian international, is considered as one of the best left-backs in world football and could be open to a switch to the Premier League.
It is claimed that Chelsea have made ‘several charm offences’ to land the 27-year-old.
Chelsea join David race
Chelsea have joined the race to sign Gent striker Jonathan David, report Caught Offside.
The Canada international has made a real impression for the Belgian club this season, scoring 23 goals and claiming 10 assists in all competitions.
It is reported that Leicester City, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham are all keen on signing the attacker, who is valued at £20million.
Whilst David can also operate as a striker, he is also capable of playing in a slightly deeper role as a central-attacking midfielder.
Sancho speaks out on his future
Borussia Dortmund and England winger Jadon Sancho has spoke out about the speculation regarding his future, report Caught Offside.
The 19-year-old has excelled in the Bundesliga this season, leading to some of the Premier League's biggest clubs, including Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United, showing a strong interest in signing him.
However, Sancho has now spoken publicly about what the future could hold for him, insisting that he does not tend to pay too much attention to all the speculation.
As quoted by the Mirror, Sancho said: "I don't really look at all them things.
"I just concentrate on my team and take it game by game. That’s the most important thing for me now."
