Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: Sancho deadline set, Havertz requests move, Abraham demands

Chelsea look set for a busy summer in the transfer window, with more new signings expected to make the move to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have already secured Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, and have been linked with plenty more names as Frank Lampard looks to strengthen his side.

Chelsea look well set to qualify for the Champions League for next season, having leapfrogged Leicester City into third place in the Premier League, and that could be a big factor in their business this summer.

Here are the latest transfer rumours and gossip coming from Stamford Bridge.

Sancho deadline

Borussia Dortmund have set Manchester United a deadline of August 10 in order to complete the signing of Jadon Sancho, according to reports.

The England international, who is also a target for Chelsea this summer, is being linked with a move away from the Bundesliga club, and is said to be top of the target list at Old Trafford.

According to the Mirror, Dortmund are refusing to sell Sancho on the cheap, and want £90million for him.

They’ve now given United just over a month to meet their asking price and conclude a deal, meaning the Blues will likely face a similar deadline.

Havertz request

Kai Havertz has requested that Bayer Leverkusen agree to his sale this summer, according to reports in Germany.

The 21-year-old is being heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea thought to be one of the frontrunners to secure his signature.

And according to Bild, the Blues could be set to act after the midfielder asked Leverkusen to sanction his sale this summer.

Real Madrid are reportedly rivalling Chelsea for Havertz’s signature, but unless the La Liga giants sell enough players, they won’t be able to afford him this summer.

Abraham demands

Tammy Abraham has reportedly told Chelsea he wants a new deal that will see him put on par with fellow academy graduate Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The striker has two years left on his current deal, understood to be worth £50,000-a-week, and has been waiting to see what the Blues do in the window before deciding on his future.

The England international has enjoyed a successful season under Frank Lampard, having scored 15 goals, although he hasn’t scored in his last 10 games.

And according to The Times, Abraham is eyeing up a new £130,000-a-week deal to match that of Hudson-Odoi’s, having seen Timo Werner signed to a five-year contract worth £170,000-a-week.
