Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: Rudiger tipped to leave, Kepa decision, Sarr loan confirmed

This summer's transfer window has partially closed.

Chelsea had until 11 pm on Monday to finalise moves in and out at Stamford Bridge as Frank Lampard had the chance to further strengthen his squad after signing the likes of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell.

Another midfielder was said to be on the agenda, with West Ham United and England international Declan Rice heavily linked with a move to west London ahead of deadline day.

Champions League: The big clashes to watch

But it was to be a rather quiet October 5 for the Blues - although Tiemoue Bakayoko and Ruben Loftus-Cheek did seal loan deals to Napoli and Fulham respectively.

However, the window remains open for domestic transfers which means there could also be some more incomings and exits too as players look for fresh starts elsewhere.

With that said, here is a round-up of some of the latest Chelsea transfer rumours.

Kepa vow

Kepa Arrizabalaga has vowed to fight for his Chelsea future.

The Spain international has lost his place in the Blues starting XI following the arrival of Edouard Mendy, but has not given up hope of reclaiming his status at number one.

"I feel good, strong, and confident," Kepa said at a Spain press conference, via talkSPORT. "Perhaps it is not a dream situation, but during the soccer career sometimes you have to live moments like this.

"I'm confident I can turn it around and do my best when I play. We all want to play. But I don't think about anything beyond the day-to-day life and focusing on the national team's matches.

"We have three matches and my focus is on them.

"In the life of a footballer there are ups and downs, but in the end what is in my hands is to work."

Sarr completes loan move

Malang Sarr has completed a season-long loan move to Porto.

The 21-year-old joined Chelsea earlier in the summer on a free transfer, having left Ligue 1 side Nice when his contract came to an end.

However, the plan was always to loan the centre-back back out straight away and he will spend the 2020/21 campaign in Portugal.

Sarr will get the opportunity to play Champions League football with the Portuguese champions and get more experience at the top level.

The left-footed defender is expected to make a big impact at the Blues in the future after impressing during his time in Ligue 1, but is not part of Frank Lampard's plans yet.

Rudiger could leave

Chelsea can still do deals with EFL sides until October 16, and there are also a few European countries that have later deadlines than the Premier League’s.

For example, Russia’s window closes on October 17, one day after the UK’s domestic window, while Portuguese clubs have until October 25.

Given their big spending this summer, the Blues had hoped to raise a few funds before deadline day. But despite Monday’s cut-off, there is still time to finalise business.

Antonio Rudiger doesn’t appear to be in Lampard’s plans for the season and is one of four Chelsea players who could leave before the end of the month.
