Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: Real Madrid join Jadon Sancho race, Spurs end Coutinho interest

It could prove to be a busy summer for Frank Lampard and Chelsea, with the Premier League set to make its return this month.

A date of June 17 has been set for the action to restart, which could see the summer transfer window clash with the end of the campaign.

That means the Blues may have to do their business while they look to hold onto their spot in the top four, and there could be plenty of ins and outs.

Here are the latest transfer rumours and gossip coming out of Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea Q&A with Oliver Harbord

Real join Sancho race

Real Madrid are the latest club to show an interest in Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.

The winger has been heavily linked with Manchester United this summer and is believed to be their number one transfer target, while Chelsea are also believed to interested in the England international.

But according to Spanish publication AS, the La Liga giants are keeping a close eye on Sancho’s situation ahead of the window opening.

The 20-year-old is enjoying a fine season in the Bundesliga, scoring 17 times and claiming assists 17 so far.

Spurs end Coutinho interest

Philippe Coutinho will not be signing for Tottenham this summer as Jose Mourinho has dropped his interest in the player.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have also all been linked with the Brazil star who is keen to secure a move back to the Premier League.

However, according to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, Mourinho is against the transfer as he fears the signing would see Tottenham players demand pay rises.

Coutinho is currently on loan at Bayern Munich from Barcelona, however the German giants have already confirmed that they will not be signing the former Liverpool star in the upcoming transfer window.

Arsenal battle for Benrahma

Arsenal have become the latest club to register their interest in Brentford star Said Benrahma.

Having scored 21 goals and claimed 25 assists in 79 appearances for Brentford since his arrival in the summer of 2018, the 24-year-old has been linked with Chelsea, Leicester, West Ham and Aston Villa.

But Frank Lampard’s side are thought to have made “official contact” with the player's representatives, according to La Gazette du Fennec.

However, French publication Foot Mercato are now claiming that Arsenal are now in the running to bring the attacker to the Emirates this summer.
