Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wanted, Werner and Jorginho latest

It could prove to be a busy summer for Frank Lampard and Chelsea, with the Premier League set to make its return this month.

A date of June 17 has been set for the action to restart, which could see the summer transfer window clash with the end of the campaign.

That means the Blues may have to do their business while they look to hold onto their spot in the top four, and there could be plenty of ins and outs.

Here are the latest transfer rumours and gossip coming out of Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea Q&A with Oliver Harbord

Aubameyang wanted

Chelsea are reportedly still hopeful of a deal for Arsenal captain and star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

ESPN report the Blues are continuing to monitor the Gabonese striker and would be tempted to make an offer should Arsenal decide to sell this summer.

Aubameyang is out of contract at the Emirates in the summer of 2021 and there has been a great deal of speculation on his future.

Arsenal could well decide to cash in on the striker this summer rather than run the risk of losing him on a free transfer, as they did with Aaron Ramsey last summer.

Chelsea join Werner chase as Dembele alternative

Chelsea are considering switching their attention to Timo Werner if the forward informs them he is willing to join this summer.

It has long before reported that the Blues are expected to be in the market for a striker in the upcoming window.

Moussa Dembele is one name that has been mentioned, but there is a concern that a deal may well not be struck with Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas.

As a result, ESPN believe Frank Lampard’s side may turn their attention to Werner, who has been strongly with Liverpool, while Manchester United are also believed to be interested in the RB Leipzig forward.

Jorginho swap deal

Juventus are believed to be ready to offer Federico Bernardeschi in exchange for Chelsea midfielder Jorginho in the upcoming window.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, a swap deal with Chelsea is likeliest as Maurizio Sarri would gladly resume his relationship with Jorginho in Turin

Bianconeri joined Juve from Fiorentina for €40m in the summer of 2017 - but he has struggled to nail down a place in his side’s starting line-up.

While Jorginho followed Sarri to Chelsea from Napoli in the summer of 2018, and although he still has three-years remaining on his deal, that hasn't stopped speculation linking him with a return to Italy this summer.
