Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: Paulo Dybala boost, Christian Eriksen offered

The summer transfer window is closed and after a frantic few months at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea will now be looking at January to bring some new players in.

The Blues endured a very busy summer period and they may do it all again when the January transfer window opens in two and a half months.

Frank Lampard will be looking to build on the progress that his side have made in the early stages of this season with some more fresh faces, as well as shipping off any unneeded members of the squad.

Here are the latest Chelsea-related transfer rumours.

Blues handed Dybala boost

According to the Daily Mail, Juventus forward and Chelsea-linked Paulo Dybala had a bust-up with one of the Italian club’s directors on Saturday evening.

The argument broke out after the Argentine striker was left out of the Juve starting XI for their draw against Crotone.

Dybala has struggled to force himself into the team this season, and could be looking for a way out of the Serie A club soon.

Chelsea, as well as Manchester United, have both been linked with a move for the Argentina international.

Moses took pay-cut to leave Blues

Victor Moses lowered his salary to join Russian side Spartak Moscow on a season-long loan, according to the club’s general director Shamil Gazizov.

Spartak have an obligation to buy the Chelsea winger once his loan deal is over, and the Russian club’s director has opened up on their new player.

“If we are in the Champions League, then we can buy him,” Gazizov revealed to Sport Express .

When asked if Moses is earning less money in Russia, Gazizov replied: “Yes, but only slightly.”

Lampard chose Ziyech over Eriksen

Chelsea boss Lampard picked Hakim Ziyech instead of Christian Eriksen, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, speaking on the Here We Go podcast (via the Express ).

Eriksen, who left Tottenham in January, has fallen down the pecking order at Inter Milan and is reportedly looking for a move away from the San Siro.

The Danish international was offered to the Blues in the summer, Romano has claimed: “Chelsea said no but the decision was more from Lampard than from the board. The decision to pass on the Dane was down to Lampard rather than the club.

“So he was not interested in signing another player with top quality as Eriksen because he said, ‘Our future, our present is Hakim Ziyech.’ - that’s why Chelsea said no to Eriksen.”
