Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: Oblak talks, plan to seal Rice deal, Chilwell blow

Chelsea are expected to be busy in the transfer market this summer.

The FA Cup finalists have already snapped up two players in Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech but Frank Lampard is not expected to stop there.

The Blues continue to be linked with a whole host of players from Declan Rice to Jan Oblak.

The ultimate lowdown on Hakim Ziyech

Here we round up all the latest transfer rumours and gossip surrounding the club.

Two stars to be offered for Rice

Chelsea could offer two first-team stars in a bid to land West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.

That's according to The Times, who say the Blues could offer up both Ross Barkley and Michy Batshuayi as they look to land Rice.

Batshuayi has failed to cut it at Chelsea, spending plenty of time out on loan with three spells away, while Barkley is likely to be further displaced by the arrival of Ziyech.

Lampard is said to be very keen on Rice, who scored with a superb long-range effort in West Ham's 3-1 win over Watford on the weekend.

Chilwell blow

Chelsea have been left 'frustrated' in their attempts to sign Leicester City full-back Ben Chilwell.

According to Goal, the Blues have pushed to land the England left-back but the Foxes have refused to budge.

Leicester have a policy of not putting a price tag on players they don't wish to sell and Chilwell very much comes under that category.

To date, Leicester have refused to entertain the thought of letting Chilwell leave, leaving Lampard and Chelsea frustrated.

"There's no intention to sell Ben Chilwell and there's absolutely no need to sell," Brendan Rodgers said last week. "So the message is he's not for sale - it's as simple as that."

Oblak linked

According to The Guardian, the Blues have expressed an interest in the superstar stopper with Lampard unimpressed by Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Though, the report says Chelsea would face two obstacles in their attempts to land Oblak.

The first is his £110m asking price and the second issue is that Kepa would have to be moved on first.
