Here are the latest Chelsea transfer rumours for Friday, May 15.
Mertens edging towards European rivals
Chelsea are set to miss out on signing Napoli’s Dries Mertens as he edges towards a move to Inter Milan.
Mertens, 33, has become one of the deadliest finishers in Europe while at Napoli. His contract is set to expire in the summer, and he has drawn interest from across the continent as well as in Major League Soccer.
The Belgian international has managed 121 goals and 73 assists in 311 appearances for the Italian outfit, and according to Calciomercato talks between Mertens and Inter are at an advanced stage.
The same report does not rule out the possibility of Mertens backing out of the move to join Chelsea or remain at Napoli, but confirms that only a few hurdles remain before the deal is concluded.
The news will come as a blow to Frank Lampard. The Chelsea boss was hopeful of securing Mertens on a free transfer as he tries to boost his attacking options moving into next season.
Chelsea won’t seek to re-sign talented winger
Jeremie Boga is not a target for Chelsea this summer, according to Sport Mediaset.
Boga, 23, left Stamford Bridge to join Italian outfit Sassuolo where he has scored eight goals and four assists in 25 games this season.
That form has attracted interest from several Italian clubs, including Napoli, although there remains little interest from Chelsea.

The Blues sold Boga for just €2.7million, and hold an option to buy him back for €16million (£14.2m).
Barcelona ready to sell goalkeeper to Chelsea
Barcelona are prepared to sell goalkeeper Neto this summer, with nine teams said to be interested.
Neto, 30, joined the club from Valencia last year and has mostly served as back-up to Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
Chelsea’s goalkeeper situation has been a topic for debate since Lampard’s arrival, with reports claiming the Chelsea boss is yet to be convinced by club-record signing Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The club have been linked to several high-profile goalkeepers, including Andre Onana, with Neto the latest name to be added to the list.
According to Mundo Deportivo ( via Calciomercato.com ), the Brazil international has attracted significant interest in his services with Chelsea joining Valencia, Sevilla, Atletico Madrid, Real Betis, PSG, Arsenal, and Ajax as potential suitors.
