Here are your latest transfer rumours for Monday, April 6.
Chelsea ready to double offer
Lautaro Martinez is almost certain to leave Inter Milan this summer.
The Argentinian joined the club in 2018 from Racing in his homeland and has drawn interest from Barcelona and Chelsea this season. The striker signed a five-year contract when he joined the club, and Inter have been attempting to negotiate a renewal recently.
Those talks have not progressed, with Martinez rejecting the club’s offer. Last week, Sport claimed that Barcelona are ahead of English competition because the player has his head set on moving to the Camp Nou.
Things have developed since, however, with claims that both Chelsea and Manchester City are willing to pay Martinez more than €10m net per year. That represents double what Inter have offered the player to remain at San Siro.
Chelsea are again being brought into the picture, with it being reported they, along with Manchester City, are willing to pay Martinez more than €10m net per year, according to Sport Witness. They claim Barcelona are unwilling to get into an auction over the player’s wages, but that Martinez will instruct Inter to hold out for an offer from Barcelona.
Chelsea chasing Champions League winner
Frank Lampard will get his first taste of the summer transfer market with Chelsea after a transfer ban last summer and a quiet January window.
The Blues boss has overseen a youth revolution at Stamford Bridge this year, partly due to the club’s transfer ban last summer. Speculation has been rife as to just who Lampard will seek to bring to Chelsea as he looks to build a side capable of mounting a title challenge.
According to FootMercato, Jerome Boateng is one of Lampard’s targets. The German international has enjoyed a hugely successful career while at Bayern Munich and has already sampled life in the Premier League with Manchester City. The report claims Boateng is ready for a new challenge, just months after he was linked with a January move to Arsenal.
The report claims that Boateng has several potential suitors in England, with Arteta still interested in the defender. Pablo Mari is expected to return to Flamengo after his loan deal, while the club will also add William Saliba to their ranks following his loan spell at Saint-Etienne.
Meanwhile, Lampard is believed to be seeking experience at centre-back with Fikayo Tomori, Andreas Christensen and Kurt Zouma all under 26.
Blues preparing summer raid
Chelsea have decided on their transfer targets it would seem with Lyon striker Moussa Dembele top of their list, according to the Daily Mail.
The French club are prepared for a raft of bids for their players this summer, with Dembele most likely to head to Stamford Bridge.
Dembele remains a top target for Premier League clubs, and Chelsea will face stiff competition from Manchester United this summer.
