Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: Kai Havertz alternative offered, Ben Chilwell chase stepped up

Chelsea have already been active in the market with early movement, luring Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner to West London from Ajax and RB Leipzig respectively.

Both additions will provide a significant boost to Frank Lampard's side next season, as they look to assure their position as Champions League regulars as well as closing the gap on Liverpool and Manchester City.

As such, further additions could be on the cards and a host of exciting names are being linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, which would strengthen the Blues at both ends of the field.

Here, we have gathered some of the latest rumours and gossip surrounding Lampard's side.

Coutinho offered

Barcelona have offered Chelsea the opportunity to sign Philippe Coutinho as an alternative to Kai Havertz.

But reports in Spain claim from Sport the Catalan giants want a decision by the end of Barca’s financial year on June 30.

The Blues are believed to be keeping close tabs on highly-rated Bayer Leverkusen star, who is thought to be valued at around £90million.

Frank Lampard’s side have also been linked with Coutinho, with the report adding that Barcelona have slashed their asking price on the Brazlian, but a deal must be completed in the next week.

Chilwell chase steps up

Chelsea are poised to step up their interest in Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell, according to reports.

Frank Lampard is keen to secure an upgrade on Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri ahead of next season.

The Blues boss has reportedly identified the 23-year-old England international as his prime target.

And according to Le 10 Sport, the Chelsea hierarchy is ready to “quickly take action” in a bid to complete a deal.

Willian offered to United

Manchester United have the chance to sign Chelsea winger Willian on a free transfer this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The 31-year-old is out of contract at Stamford Bridge this summer and is expected to leave once the Premier League season is over.

However, the report goes on to add that Willian does not fit the mould of the young, British player that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to recruit for his side this summer.
