Here are the latest Chelsea rumours for Monday, May 18.
Chelsea set Jorginho price
Chelsea would ask for £58million for Jorginho if Juventus were to attempt to sign him in the summer.
The Italian international joined Chelsea from Napoli under Maurizio Sarri, but it is believed the club are not against the idea of selling him this summer. Juventus are themselves planning to overhaul their midfield, with the weekend seeing reports of a deal for Barcelona’s Nelson Semedo involving Miralem Pjanic going the other way.
Now, Tuttosport says that is one of several possibilities for the Old Lady, including a swap deal involving Pjanic and Barca’s Arthur.
The report also states that tensions between Jorginho and Chelsea have arisen, with the player open to the idea of reuniting with Sarri. The quoted price for the player is between €65-70 million, which they believe may be an attempt by Lampard to drive away any interest.
Tottenham set to lose out on Dutch starlet to Chelsea
Chelsea are aiming to win a race against Tottenham for Feyenoord starlet Lamare Bogarde, according to Football Insider.
Bogarde, 16, is currently on the books of Feyenoord and has attracted interest from clubs across the continent including Borussia Dortmund, Schalke 04, Juventus and AC Milan.
That said, the report indicates that Bogarde is more likely to seek a move to England over any other, with the Blues leading their London rivals in the chase to secure him.
Chelsea chasing Verona defender
Chelsea have been joined by Tottenham and Arsenal in their pursuit of Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla, according to reports.
Kumbulla, 20, has emerged as one of the standout prospects in Serie A this season, and his form has not gone unnoticed. That has seen a clutch of English clubs take an interest in the €30million-rated defender.
Now, FCInterNews claim that Arsenal and Everton have joined Chelsea, Manchester United and Spurs in trying to sign the defender.
The Blues are said to be eager to add defensive reinforcements to their squad this summer. Kumbulla was born in Italy but opted to represent Albania at international level.
