Chelsea have been in tremendous form recently, demonstrated by their dazzling performance at Burnley on Saturday afternoon.
Hakim Ziyech, Kurt Zouma and Timo Werner all scored for the Blues, as they won 3-0 against the Clarets at Turf Moor, with Frank Lampard's side now sitting in sixth-place in the Premier League table.
The new signings at Stamford Bridge are finally settling in, and with the January transfer window now just under two months away from opening, Lampard could look to improve his squad even more.
Here are the latest Chelsea transfer stories.
Cech watched Mendy for three years
Chelsea advisor Petr Cech has revealed he watched new signing Edouard Mendy play for three years before the club signed him in the summer.
Mendy has come into the Blues side and been very impressive so far - keeping four clean sheets in his last four outings for his new side.
Speaking to Telefoot Chaine (via Sport Witness ), Cech opened up on the move for the ex-Rennes shot-stopper: "We had to make sure it was someone everyone agreed on, not just me. It had to be the club, and especially the manager, who had to be comfortable with the choice.
"In the end, my knowledge of Edouard for the past three years helped. I think he's a goalkeeper who can still improve, with his work, professionalism and desire to be better every day. I'm convinced he'll improve more, and these aren't the best performances you'll see from Edouard Mendy."
Blues remain keen on Rice
According to a new report in The Athletic, Chelsea are still interested in signing West Ham United star Declan Rice, and will attempt to bring him to Stamford Bridge in January.
The Blues were heavily linked with a move for the 21-year-old England international over the summer transfer window, but did not make an official bid.
The Hammers are reportedly preparing to offer Rice a lucrative deal to try and fend Chelsea's interest off, but according to the latest report, Lampard still has his eyes on landing the talented holding midfielder in the mid-season window.
Lampard wants to bring Rice into his midfield, but is also keen on using the Irons star as a centre-back.
Alaba's transfer stance
Reported Chelsea target David Alaba is open to moving to Barcelona or Real Madrid, according to German outlet Bild.
The 28-year-old looks set to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season, with his contract set to expire after a breakdown in negotiations.
Alaba has been linked with a move to the Blues in the past, as well as Liverpool, but he seems to have his heart set on signing for one of the two biggest La Liga sides.
Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City have all expressed an interest in the Austrian defender, but he is keen on a move to either Real Madrid or Barcelona, it has been claimed.
