Chelsea have a big chance of once again playing Champions League football next season after Frank Lampard’s first year in charge of the club.
The Blues have already been very busy even though the summer transfer window has not officially opened yet.
The signings of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner have delighted Chelsea fans, and it looks like Lampard isn’t quite done there.
With that being said, here are the latest Chelsea-related transfer rumours from today.
Sancho blow
Jadon Sancho will have to push to get himself a dream move to Manchester United this summer.
That is according to the Mirror, who claim the Bundesliga giants are demanding £120million for the England forward but United are unwilling to meet their valuation.
Chelsea have also been linked with a move for Sancho this summer, but it appears that Frank Lampard is now targeting other deals instead.
Cole send transfer message
Former left-back Ashley Cole believes Chelsea still need to add to their squad this summer to be able to compete with Liverpool and Manchester City next season.
Frank Lampard has already strengthened his ranks by landing Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.
And when asked who has the better chance of catching Liverpool or City out of Chelsea and Manchester United next season, Cole believes it is Chelsea provided they strengthen this summer.
“Ole has had longer in charge of Man United and has had that transfer window and the chance to add quality and additions to his side,” he told BBC Sport before Chelsea’s clash with United in the FA Cup on Sunday.
“Chelsea haven’t, now they have and I think the signings they have brought in are very good and who knows if they are going to carry on and some more quality to the team.
“I think it is needed to fight against the Man City’s and the Liverpool’s and even the Manchester United’s."
Inter eye Emerson
Inter Milan are still trying to sign Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri.
Italian publication Calciomercato is reporting that Emerson has been chosen to bolster Antonio Conte's left-sided options this summer.
Emerson has just under two years remaining on his Chelsea contract, which is due to expire in June 2022.
