Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: Havertz deal close, Kante exit, Lampard makes Kepa decision

Chelsea have just one Premier League match left this season.

Following Wednesday's loss to Liverpool, the Blues must avoid defeat against Wolves on Sunday to guarantee a place in next season's Champions League - or they will be relying on Leicester City failing to beat Manchester United.

Qualifying for the Champions League could have a big impact on who the Blues target this summer.

The most expensive Premier League transfers ever

Here are the very latest Chelsea transfer rumours.

Havertz deal close

Chelsea are closing in on a deal for Kai Havertz this summer.

The 21-year-old has been one of the most exciting talents over the course of the past few Bundesliga seasons, and Frank Lampard is looking to rebuild his squad.

According to reports in Germany, Havertz has handed in a transfer request to Bayer Leverkusen in order to make the move to the Premier League happen.

The Blues are now the front runners for the transfer, with Real Madrid ruling themselves out for this summer and Bayern Munich splashing the cash on Leroy Sane.

Kante could depart

Chelsea are ready to listen to offers for N’Golo Kante, whose recent absence is in fact down to the club wanting to see him leave.

Calciomercato claims Frank Lampard no longer feels he is a vital part of the team and can leave if the right offer comes in.

Both Inter Milan and Real Madrid have been linked with Kane in recent weeks, who still has been one of the standout stars in the Premier League in recent years.

Lampard wants Arrizabalaga gone

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard reportedly wants goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga sold as soon as possible.

Football Insider reports that the Stamford Bridge boss has made him mind up to sell the stopper, a stance which has continued in light of the 5-3 defeat against champions Liverpool.

Arrizabalaga is the world’s most expensive goalkeeper after Chelsea paid Athletic Bilbao his £71.6m release clause in 2018, but has struggled for form this season and Lampard has switched between him and Willy Caballero in goal.
