Chelsea may have already signed the likes of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech but Frank Lampard wants more.
Therefore, the rumour mill is heading into overdrive as the club attempt to sign Kai Havertz.
But sales are also possible. Here is the latest round-up of rumours relating to Chelsea.
Havertz price issue
Chelsea are said to have made their first move for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz by submitting an opening offer.
The main barrier in completing the transfer is the price that the Bundesliga side are asking for the player, with Leverkusen asking for a fee of around £90 million.
Transfer expert Ian McGarry has said that Chelsea have submitted an opening offer of £45 million plus £9 million in add-ons for Havertz.
However, that is still £27 million below the asking price for the midfielder.
Shock Kante decision
Chelsea are reportedly willing to listen to offers for N'Golo Kante as they continue their pursuit of Kai Havertz.
The Bayer Leverkusen midfielder is being heavily linked with a transfer to Stamford Bridge and, should he complete the move, it could have a knock-on effect for Kante's chances in Frank Lampard's side.
Despite establishing himself as one of the Blues' most important players after making the move from Leicester, the Frenchman's time at the club could be coming to an end, with reports suggesting Chelsea will listen to offers.
Sancho deadline
Borussia Dortmund have put a deadline on interest in Jadon Sancho.
Manchester United are above Chelsea in the race for the England forward.
And the Red Devils have now been given until August 10 to pull off a deal, per the BBC.
