Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: Havertz admission, Alex Telles to Man United, Willian offer

Chelsea were unable to win a domestic trophy in Frank Lampard's first season in charge after they suffered defeat to Arsenal in the FA Cup final.

Whilst the Blues are still in contention in the Champions League, a 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich means their chances of lifting any silverware this season are thin.

Will that impact the sorts of players they are able to attract to Stamford Bridge, or will it just underline Lampard's need to strengthen his squad even more?

The defenders Chelsea have been linked with

Here are all the latest Chelsea transfer rumours.

Havertz admission

Bayer Leverkusen manager Peter Bosz has confirmed Kai Havertz will play in their Europa League last-16 second leg against Rangers on Thursday.

The Bayer Leverkusen ace is keen on a move to west London but no agreement has been made between the two clubs as of yet.

Frank Lampard's men are in the driving seat for his signature and the boss will be hoping a deal can be struck very soon as he prepares for next month's Premier League opener.

But speaking ahead of the game, Bosz insisted he had no worries over Havertz's frame of mind, saying: "Yes, he will play and yes I'm convinced he's 100 per cent still fighting for Leverkusen."

United competition for Telles

Manchester United will rival Chelsea in the market for Porto full-back Alex Telles, Correjo de Manha via talkSPORT claims.

Telles has regularly been touted for a move to Stamford Bridge as Frank Lampard looks for recruits to improve his options on the left-side of defence.

However, the Blues could encounter difficulties if they do enter the market for the player as it's stated United are in advanced talks to land his services.

Willian's Arsenal offer

Arsenal are closing in on signing Willian on a free transfer from Chelsea after offering a three-year deal, Sky Sports states.

The Gunners are favourites to land his service, although it's stated that the terms are lesser than what is on the table from Barcelona and Inter Milan.

Chelsea offered a two-year deal to Willian but he is holding out for a longer deal, which is on offer elsewhere.
