Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: Dembele to be sold, Sancho claim, Sevilla star's trial disaster

Frank Lampard is focused on guiding Chelsea to a fourth-placed finish in the Premier League but the club also has one eye on improving their squad in the summer transfer window.

The January window has been and gone and Chelsea were deliberately not busy, but that should change in the summer.

If the rumour mill is anything to go by, the Blues could make a big splash.

Here is the latest gossip round-up.

Dembele interest confirmed

Chelsea's interest in Moussa Dembele has reportedly been confirmed ahead of the summer.

Lyon stressed in January that the forward was not up for sale midway through the season but it appears that may change at the end of the campaign.

L'Equipe, per Sport Witness, have confirmed that Chelsea remain interested in the 23-year-old and they state that Lyon are planning to sell up.

Chelsea tipped to sign Sancho

Chelsea have been tipped to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund during the summer transfer window.

The former Manchester City starlet left the UK in 2017 to further his career and it has turned out to be a great decision.

The 19-year-old scored 12 league goals and assisted 14 last season and has bagged 12 and assisted 13 this term in just 19 Bundesliga games.

This has led to the teenage sensation attracting interest aplenty and Chelsea and Manchester United are just two of the parties looking to sign the England international.

A transfer expert has now waded in on the situation and stated that he believes Sancho could leave and explained why Chelsea stand a good chance of completing the deal.

German football expert Kevin Hatchard told talkSPORT: "He’s an absolute stone-cold superstar. I think he will leave Dortmund at the end of the season, that’s been the perceived wisdom for quite some time. The Premier League is a possibility and I think Chelsea would be interested and he’s got a soft spot for them. Personally I think that if somebody bid in the region of €140 million, I think that’s a fair price."

Sevilla player confirms Chelsea trial

Youssef En Nesyri has spoken about the time he was on trial at Chelsea.

The 22-year-old recently moved from Leganes to Sevilla but in an interview with Estadio Deportivo he has also discussed his brief time on trial at the Blues.

"Yes. I went to London for three weeks. And the truth is that it was very cold there, I didn’t feel comfortable either," En-Nesyri told Estadio Deportivo, per Sport Witness.
