The Premier League continue their discussions on plans to complete the 2019/20 season and that could see Chelsea back in action soon.
It has been almost two months since Frank Lampard's side were last in action and there is plenty to fight for, with a top-four finish in sight and a Champions League clash with Bayern Munich still to be played.
While football has been left on hold, it has not brought a halt to the transfer speculation and Chelsea are being linked with a host of signings.
Here, we have identified a selection of the latest transfer rumours regarding the Blues.
Borussia Dortmund eye Webster
Borussia Dortmund are looking to raid Chelsea to secure the services of youngster Charlie Webster, according to The Sun.
The 16-year-old is one of the most highly-rated prospects in the Blues' youth ranks but Frank Lampard's side could be set for a battle to keep his services in West London.
Dortmund, who earned great success with snatching Jadon Sancho from Manchester City and developing him into a star, are keen on using the same approach with Webster.
He could find first-team opportunities easier to secure in the Bundesliga if he is fast-tracked upon his move, whereas he will have to be patient for his opportunity at Stamford Bridge.
Mertens ready to complete transfer
Chelsea have been handed a boost in their quest to sign Napoli forward Dries Mertens as the Belgium international is ready to leave the club, Het Laatste Nieuws states.
The experienced forward was linked with a move to the Premier League in January, with Chelsea among the clubs linked with his services, as his contract with the Italian side is due to expire next month.
It has been suggested that Mertens could renew his deal with Napoli but his demands are proving to be complicated - and the coronavirus crisis could deny him the opportunity to become the club's single all-time leading scorer, with the forward currently tied at the top of the charts alongside former midfielder Marek Hamsik.
Competition for Mertens services will be fierce if he is to leave Napoli, with Tottenham, Liverpool and Inter Milan also attributed with an interest.
Spurs rival Chelsea for Sankoh
Chelsea face additional competition in the transfer market for Stoke City starlet Mohamed Sankoh as Tottenham have joined the hunt, Football Insider reports.
The 16-year-old is set to be available on a free transfer when his youth contract with the Staffordshire club expires and it's unlikely he will agree fresh terms with the Potters.
That has led to vast interest in his services, with Everton and Celtic also in the hunt, and Tottenham are now eyeing the teenage forward.
Capped by Holland at Under-17 level, he has scored nine goals and supplied nine assists at Under-18 level this season.
