Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: Blues face battle to retain N'Golo Kante, Ahmedhodzic blow

Chelsea's fine start to the Premier League season continued on Saturday evening, as they came from behind to beat Sheffield United 4-1 at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues ensured all three points would be kept in west London thanks to goals from Tammy Abraham, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Timo Werner.

Again, Frank Lampard's new signings showed their quality in the victory, and if rumours are to be believed, then the Blues could be looking to do even more business when the January transfer window opens soon.

Here are the latest Chelsea-related transfer stories.

Agent blocking Ahmedhodzic's move

Anel Ahmedhodzic's father, Mirsad, has claimed that his son's agent is blocking a move to Chelsea.

Frank Lampard press conference after 4-1 win vs Sheffield United

In an interview with Sportbladet, Mirsad explained how Markus Rosenberg has told the Blues' director, Marina Granovskaia, that his client would not be making a move to Stamford Bridge, amid reported interest.

Ahmedhodzic's dad said: "He's (Rosenberg) not doing his job. He has told Marina at Chelsea that Anel is not going there.

"He (Anel) wants to go abroad after the season. Markus doesn't fix this; he doesn't have those contacts. I have tried to inform Markus that Pastorello (Italian agent) wants to cooperate with him."

Guirassy snubbed Chelsea move

New Rennes signing Serhou Guirassy turned down a summer transfer to Chelsea, according to Amiens sport director John Williams.

A host of Premier League clubs - including the Blues - were keen on signing Guirassy, but instead he chose a move to the Ligue 1 side.

Williams told Le Parisien (via the Express): "He refused to go to Chelsea during the last window. Serhou made a sporting choice when he could earn more money with the London team.

"He wanted to continue in a club where he was sure to have some playing time and not relive an experience like the one in Cologne where he was a substitute. The choice fell on Rennes because coach Julien Stephan assured him that he was counting on him."

Battle for Kante

Inter Milan and Real Madrid are set to battle it out for Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante, according to Canal Plus (via Caught Offside).

Kante was heavily linked with a move away from the Blues over the summer, but a deal never materialised, but the rumours regarding his future will not go away.

The two European giants are both tracking the 29-year-old's situation, meaning Lampard could find it difficult to keep him at the club.

The France midfielder could be set for a reunion with former manager Antonio Conte, who is currently in charge at Inter.
