Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: Blues could make Alex Sandro move, Kasper Schmeichel boost

Plenty of business is expected to be done at Stamford Bridge this summer as Chelsea prepare for the new Premier League season.

The 2020/21 campaign is less than a month away, with the big kick-off set for September 12.

And clubs have begun their preparations in earnest on the training ground, while plenty more new faces look set to arrive over the coming weeks, particularly at Chelsea.

Here are the latest transfer rumours and gossip emerging from Stamford Bridge.

Juve cut price on Sandro

Reports in Italy have suggested Juventus are willing to listen to offers for left-back Alex Sandro.

Chelsea are said to be long-term admirers of the Brazilian, and with Frank Lampard in the market for a new left-back, the news from Turin could well be of interest.

According to Corriere Dello Sport, Sandro could be available for around £36million, making him a cheaper alternative to Ben Chilwell.

The Leicester full-back remains the priority though, with reports suggesting the Blues are closing in on a deal with the Foxes.

Foxes eye up Schmeichel replacement

Leicester City are reportedly chasing down Sevilla goalkeeper Sergio Rico amid reports linking Kasper Schmeichel with Chelsea.

The 33-year-old is just one of the names that have been linked as Lampard looks for a replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The Spaniard is expected to depart this summer after a disappointing couple of seasons, and Schmeichel has been tipped to take his place.

The Dane has also been linked with Manchester United, and according to the Mirror, the Foxes are looking to ensure they aren't left without any cover.

Blues in race for Nigerian teenager

Chelsea are among the sides reportedly in the race for Nigerian teenager Paul Ibahadon.

The 15-year-old defender is tipped for big things, and has been linked with a number of Premier League sides by AllNigeriaSoccer.

As well as the Blues, West Brom and Birmingham CIty are said to be interested, while a move to Aston Villa collapsed earlier this year.

Chelsea youth team coaches are said to have run the rule over Ibahadon on Friday morning when he took part in an in-house friendly involving the Under-16 team.
