Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: Blues aim to seal Kai Havertz deal, Batshuayi price revealed

Over the past week, Chelsea’s search for new players has intensified, and it seems Roman Abramovich will be backing Frank Lampard financially in the summer.

It will be Lampard’s second pre-season in charge at Stamford Bridge, but the first summer transfer window for the former Blues midfielder, due to the club’s ban on signing players.

Hakim Ziyech is already confirmed to be joining Chelsea in the summer, after a deal was agreed with Ajax in February.

And with that in mind, here are the very latest Chelsea transfer rumours.

Alan Smith breaks down Chelsea's move for Timo Werner and who they may look to next

Blues eye Havertz as Sancho alternative

Chelsea are interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Kai Havertz as an alternative to Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho, according to ESPN.

The Blues believe Sancho will join Manchester United in the summer, so Lampard has looked elsewhere in the Bundesliga and has identified the highly-rated midfielder as the ideal alternative.

ESPN say Lampard views Havertz's versatility as crucial, with the 20-year-old comfortable playing as a No. 10, out wide or through the middle as a striker.

The report also states that Havertz would cost Chelsea around £70m.

Benrahma on Blues’ shortlist

Chelsea have identified Brentford winger Saïd Benrahma as a transfer target this summer, according to The Guardian.

The likes of Pedro and Willian are set to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer, with both wingers’ contracts expiring.

This means the Blues will be looking to replace the two wide players, and with Ziyech already coming in, Benrahma could also join him.

However, the Guardian say that Chelsea would need to sell players to enable such a heavy spend, with the likes of Havertz, Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell also wanted.

Chelsea want £30m for Batshuayi

Chelsea will demand a bid in the region of £30m for striker Michy Batshuayi, with Newcastle United, West Ham United and Crystal Palace all interested in the Belgian.

The Mirror reports that the Blues will allow Batshuayi to leave the club in the summer, but only for the right price.

With Werner potentially coming in, and the fact the 26-year-old is entering the last 12 months of his current deal, the Blues are looking to cash in.

Batshuayi is a target for Palace – where he spent part of the 2018-19 season on loan at – and could return to Selhurst Park.
