Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: Barcelona and Man United deliver blows, Coutinho twist

Chelsea are aiming to make the Premier League top four but will also have one eye on the summer transfer window already.

It has been a seesaw campaign for the Blues so far after they opened the season in good form before hitting a rough patch.

Chelsea still have qualification for the Champions League in their own hands and they also face Bayern Munich in the round of 16 of the prestigious competition later this month.

But here we are looking ahead and taking a look at the latest rumours surrounding the Blues ahead of the summer transfer window.

Oliver Harbord on how Chelsea will spend their winter break

Chelsea transfer blow tipped

Chelsea have been tipped to miss out on Lautaro Martinez.

Martinez has starred for Inter Milan this season and Chelsea have been linked with his services.

But Barcelona are also in the mix for the 22-year-old, who would prefer a move to the Spanish giants, according to ESPN.

ESPN pundit Steve Nicol has now also said that he believes the Blues will fail to land the forward, per the Daily Star.

United and Everton join winger pursuit

Rafael Camacho could be set for a return to the Premier League amid links with Chelsea but Frank Lampard's men will face competition for his services

The 19-year-old left Liverpool last summer in search of first-team football, something he has done to an extent at Sporting Lisbon, where he has played 17 games in all competitions.

Chelsea and Arsenal have been linked with the teenage winger but now Football Insider are reporting that Manchester United and Everton have joined the race.

Coutinho transfer twist

Barcelona will allow former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho to leave for a cut-price deal for £77 million.

That's according to reports from the Daily Express, who claim that the Spanish side are willing to part ways with the midfielder for almost half the total deal with Liverpool two years ago.

Coutinho left Anfield for the Camp Nou in January 2018 for £142 million but has not lived up to expectations and has ended up on loan at Bayern Munich.
