Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: £58.1m Jorginho deal, Werner makes decision amid Liverpool link

It has now been over two months since Chelsea last played a match but, with the Bundesliga having returned, there are encouraging signs that the Premier League could follow suit.

Discussions surrounding Project Restart are set to continue next week, with the aim of playing the remaining 92 Premier League matches behind closed doors from mid-June.

That means there will at least a few more weeks without football for the Blues but it hasn't quite brought an end to the discussions, as transfer rumours continue to circulate.

Here, we have gathered some of the latest stories surrounding Chelsea.

Chelsea set Jorginho price tag

Chelsea chiefs have set a price tag for Italian midfielder Jorginho.

Jorginho has been linked with a move to Juventus to be reunited with Maurizio Sarri, with Frank Lampard said to be keen on Miralem Pjanic in exchange.

If not, according to Tuttosport, the Blues are looking for a fee between £58.1million (€65m) and £62.6m (€70m).

Juventus are said to be hoping to trade Pjanic for Barcelona's Arthur.

Timo Werner blow

Timo Werner has told Chelsea and Manchester United he wants to join Liverpool.

That’s according to Sunday World journalist Kevin Palmer, who claims the German international’s agent has banded out the message that the striker only wants the Reds.

All three Premier League clubs have been heavily linked with the RB Leipzig striker, who has scored 16 Bundesliga goals this season.

Chelsea edge out Tottenham

Chelsea have reportedly leapfrogged their London rivals Tottenham in the pursuit of highly-rated Feyenoord wonderkid Lamare Bogarde.

The 16-year-old defensive midfielder looks a huge prospect and could be a useful signing for many top clubs in the near future, with a host of big names said to be interested in him, according to Football Insider.

The report claims, however, that Chelsea seem to have moved ahead of their rivals in the running for Bogarde despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lampard's faith in young players could play a role in the midfielder's decision.
