Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: £100m Jadon Sancho decision made, Emerson demands

Chelsea have enjoyed a successful season so far but there is more work ahead for Frank Lampard, as he looks to steer the Blues to another top-four finish.

While he has got the best out of a young squad so far, the opportunity for Lampard to strengthen his squad in the January transfer window has emerged and is likely to be utilised.

A number of arrivals and departures are touted during the mid-season window and there is already plenty of rumours floating around, so we've gathered the latest for you below.

Sancho decision made

The name of Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho has continuously been touted around Chelsea, with reports stating he is seen as the ideal man to fill the void left by Eden Hazard's move to Real Madrid in the summer.

However, the Express states that the Blues are not prepared to meet the Bundesliga side's meteoric price-tag for the England international, which is in excess of £100m.

Dortmund are unlikely to be willing to reduce their demands for the 19-year-old former Manchester City youngster, which makes a transfer in the New Year unlikely.

A deal for Sancho would almost definitely see Chelsea set a new club record in the market, with their current most expensive addition being the £72m capture of Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao.

€30m Emerson demand

Emerson Palmieri is being linked with a departure from Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window but Chelsea's demands could throw a spanner in the works.

TuttoSport via Sport Witness state that Italian champions Juventus see Emerson as a 'solution' to their left-back issues, where Alex Sandro is currently their only option.

However, it is added that Chelsea are only prepared to sanction the exit of the Brazilian if they are offered a lofty fee of €30m in exchange for his services.

Juventus, meanwhile, see the ideal situation as signing Emerson on loan with an option for a permanent transfer at the end of the current season.

Willian to snub Barcelona

Willian has regularly been linked with an exit from Chelsea to join Barcelona but the La Liga giants have suffered a blow in their pursuit of the winger.

The Sun states that the Brazil international is not willing to depart Stamford Bridge midway through the campaign and wants to stay at Chelsea until the end of his career.

His current contract is due to expire at the end of the season, although he previously revealed his agent was in talks with the club regarding an extension.
