Latest Chelsea transfer news: Isco swap deal, Blues sign wonderkid, Nick Pope latest

Chelsea are in the middle of enjoying their first-ever winter break.

The Blues are not back in action until Monday, February 17 when they take on Manchester United at Old Trafford.

As a result, Frank Lampard could spend some time looking ahead to the summer transfer window.

After failing to bolster the Blues' squad in January, the Blues are expected to spend big in the summer.

Here, we round-up the day's latest Chelsea transfer news.

Oliver Harbord on how Chelsea will spend their winter break

Real Madrid offer Kante swap

Real Madrid are set to offer Isco to Chelsea as part of a plan to sign N’Golo Kante.

The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for the Spaniard for some time but will not want to part with a key asset in Kante.

According to  El Desmarque, the former Leicester City midfielder is one of Zinedine Zidane’s top targets in the summer window.

Isco has just two-and-a-half years left on his contract, whilst Kante is tied down until 2023.

Andersson's transfer message

Edwin Andersson has opened up on his imminent move to Chelsea from IFK Gothenburg.

The 16-year-old winger is set to join Frank Lampard's side, after the Blues agreed a fee for the highly-rated Sweden Under-17 international.

In an interview with the  Swedish Chelsea Supporters club, Andersson explained his playing style.

"I usually stick to the left and would well describe myself as a technical player, fast, and like to challenge a lot one-to-one and create chances," said the Swede.

When asked if he had a message for a final message for fans, he replied with Chelsea's four-word anthem: "Blue is the colour."

Chelsea linked with Pope

Chelsea continue to be linked with Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope.

That speculation was given further weight when Blues boss Frank Lampard axed Kepa Arrizabalaga for the weekend draw with Leicester City, opting to play Wily Caballero for the 2-2 Premier League draw.

Pope, along with Crystal Palace's Vicente Guaita, are rumoured to be the two players Lampard is eyeing up as a potential replacement.

But Burnley have no interest in parting with the first choice keeper, with Dyche simply laughing when asked about the links last week by  LancsLive.
