Latest Chelsea injury news as three miss Wolves ahead of Real Madrid showdown

Chelsea continued their struggles in the final third on Tuesday evening with a 0-0 draw with Liverpool. The game was the second in four days in which the Blues failed to score.

It hasn't been through a lack of trying by the players. In the 2-0 loss to Aston Villa on Saturday, they had 27 shots (eight on target), before having another 12 against Liverpool. The Blues' problem in attack has been the story of their season and was one of the key contributors to Graham Potter's dismissal.

The search for Potter's replacement continues to dominate the headlines but there is plenty of football to be played in the meantime. This weekend, the Blues travel to the West Midlands to face Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Ahead of the game, Bruno Saltor confirmed that every player bar Cesar Azpilcueta, Thiago Silva and Armanda Broja is fit for the trip to Molineux. He said: "All fit, just Bettinelli is doing some recovery but the rest are fit."

It's likely that the Spaniard will continue to take charge on an interim basis. The former Brighton right-back welcomed back a number of first team players to the starting XI for the draw with Liverpool - including N'Golo Kante and Wesley Fofana.

Kante's start was his first since August - under Thomas Tuchel - after he came off the bench at the weekend. The midfielder played 69 minutes at Stamford Bridge and his return is a welcome boost ahead of the Champions League quarter-final tie with Real Madrid.

After coming on as a 57th minute substitute at the weekend, Kante could be in contention to start a game for the first time since August. The midfielder's return comes as a boost for Chelsea in a time of need for points and he may be selected to tighten up the midfield.

The clash was also Fofana’s first outing since before the international break. The defender was forced to withdraw from the France national team after picking up a knock in the draw with Everton but he returned to the Chelsea back three on Tuesday.

Elsewhere, Raheem Sterling and Mason Mount were both left of the team despite being available. However, the pair are in the mix to be involved at the weekend.

Club captain Azpilicueta is yet to be seen in action since his concussion. The Spaniard has also had an injury keeping him out since then and remains a doubt. Thiago Silva is still out with his knee injury and the Blues will be hopeful he can recover before the first leg against Madrid.

Armando Broja is the only long-term absence and he won't play again this season.
