Latest Chelsea FIFA 21 update confirmed with two players upgraded

The latest FIFA 21 update is now out and two Chelsea stars have been upgraded, whilst two have been given downgrades.

It has been a disappointing season so far for the Blues despite starting well under Frank Lampard this term and looking like early candidates to challenge for the title.

Fast-forward a few weeks and the Blues are on a wretched run of form and in ninth position with just two games left until we reach the halfway mark.

But there have been some positives, such as impressive performances from Reece James and Callum Hudson-Odoi, and both have been rewarded for their progress in the latest FIFA 21 update.

However, the same can't be said for Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic.

Take a look below at the full round-up, with the player database update now available on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.

Reece James - Upgrade

James has really impressed this season, making that right-back position his own and the latest update reflects his rapid rise.

His overall rating has remained at 78 but a number of attributes have increased with crossing, short passing, shot power, interceptions all increasing by one, while stamina increased by two, along with vision and marking.

Christian Pulisic - Trait added

Pulisic has struggled with injury this season, missing the start of the season through a hamstring injury and then missing four more games with another muscle injury recently.

That record of missing games has seen him handed the injury-prone trait. Ouch.

Callum Hudson-Odoi - Upgrade

Hudson-Odoi has bagged himself an increase of one in overall rating from 74 to 75 with what has been a largely impressive season for the wide man.

He has had to make with starting from the bench for the most part with Lampard trying to get the best out of some of his new signings, as well as Pulisic, but the 20-year-old has still managed to score four times in just 15 appearances across all competitions.

He has been rewarded for that form with a rating bump and a number of attributes have also improved.

Crossing is up by five, while finishing, reactions, short passing, vision and positioning are also up.

Kai Havertz - Downgrade

The German's big-money move to the Blues hasn't quite paid off just yet, but we are still early in his time at Stamford Bridge.

Even so, Havertz' failure to replicate his Bayer Leverkusen form has seen him suffer a drop in his overall rating from 85 to 84.

Potential has also dropped by one to 92, while crossing, finishing, ball control, reactions and vision are also down.

The Germany international has also lost his poacher trait.
