Latest Championship rumours: Leeds United agree deal, duo declare interest in Man United starlet

The Championship season remains on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But as discussions over how to resume the current campaign continue, transfer remours are still flooding in.

Here we round up the latest concerning second-tier clubs, including Leeds United.

Championship duo declare interest in Man Utd youngster

Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea City have expressed an interest in Manchester United youngster James Garner.

Reports from The Sun suggest the Championship duo are eyeing a loan move for the midfielder who is tipped for a big future at Old Trafford.

The 19-year-old has already earned two league appearances for the United first-team and he could be sent out on loan next season to amass some valuable experience at senior level.

Leeds 'agree' deal

Leeds United have 'agreed' a deal with Linfield starlet Charlie Allen.

That's according to Football Insider, who say the 16-year-old is headed to Elland Road.

According to the report, a number of Premier League clubs were interested in the Irish midfielder.

Leeds have reportedly agreed an initial scholarship deal with the youngster.

Blackburn in for Sunderland goalkeeper

Sunderland goalkeeper John McLaughlin, who is out of contract at the end of the season, could be heading to Blackburn Rovers.

According to Sun journalist Alan Nixon, Blackburn are close to agreeing a deal for the stopper.

McLaughlin has been with Sunderland since 2018, making 78 league appearances and winning two Scotland caps along the way.
