Latest Championship promotion odds for Bristol City, Leeds United and rest of candidates

There are just six complete rounds of fixtures left to go in the Championship as the race to reach the Premier League approaches its climax.

In a whirlwind finish to the second tier following its resumption after being suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Championship is poised to conclude its regular campaign on July 22, with the play-offs taking place soon after.

Leeds United currently sit in pole position at the summit of the standings by just a point ahead of West Bromwich Albion in the automatic promotion slots.

Behind them and trailing the Baggies by five points is Brentford, who themselves are closely followed by Nottingham Forest and Fulham who are both locked on 67 points.

The race for sixth and the final spot in the play-offs will be fought over by several teams, with Cardiff City currently occupying the slot with 61 points.

But the Bluebirds are closely pursued by Derby County who are just a point behind them.

Swansea City and Preston North End – who sat sixth in the table when the campaign resumed – are both on 57 points.

Blackburn Rovers and Millwall are too locked on the same number of points with 56 accrued, while Bristol City in 12th complete the top half of the table on 55 points.

The Robins poor form since the return of the league has dramatically dropped their chances of promotion following three losses against Blackburn, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest.

But with several rounds of games still to be played, it is almost certain these positions will change before the final whistle blows on July 22.

With that in mind, here are the latest promotion odds from SkyBet, sponsor of the EFL’s three divisions.

Odds correct as of Thursday, July 2.

Leeds United – 1/16

West Brom – 1/9

Brentford – 8/13

Fulham – 2/1

Nottingham Forest – 11/2

Cardiff – 11/1

Derby – 22/1

Millwall – 40/1

Swansea – 40/1

Blackburn – 66/1

Preston – 66/1

Bristol City – 200/1
