Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Upamecano 'agreement', Gunners want Roca, Lacazette's future

Arsenal are entering the final stage of preparations ahead of their return to the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

Yet, with just a handful of games remaining in the league, the Gunners also need to keep an eye on their preparations for next season as well.

The coronavirus shutdown has given clubs plenty of time to identify potential transfer targets for what could be an intriguing summer transfer window.

Here is the latest transfer gossip from the Gunners.

Gunners set to win race for Upamecano

The impact of Arsenal's lost match-day income

RB Leipzig have told AC Milan that Arsenal are close to winning the race for defender Dayot Upamecano.

There has been plenty of speculation over the French centre-back's future after a stellar season in the Bundesliga.

Manchester United and Bayern Munich have been linked with Upamecano but AC Milan have shown the strongest interest in the player due to their desire to find a long-term partner for captain Alessio Romagnoli.

Yet Tuttosport report that Leipzig have told AC Milan that the 21-year-old is set to make a move to Arsenal.

The report says Arsenal have reached an agreement with Leipzig ahead of Ralf Rangnick's expected move from Leipzig to AC Milan at the end of the season.

Lacazette seeks assurances

The Mirror report that Alexandre Lacazette will hold talks with Arsenal club chiefs to determine whether he has a future at the Emirates.

Lacazette has averaged a goal every other game for the Gunners and formed an impressive partnership with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Yet, with Aubameyang out of contract next summer and Lacazette having two years left to run, both players are set to sit down with the club in the coming weeks to discuss their futures.

Atletico Madrid are said to be monitoring the situation and will solidify their interest if Lacazette feels his days at the Emirates are numbered.

Gunners favourites to land Roca

Arsenal are reportedly favourites to sign Marc Roca.

The Espanyol midfielder could well leave the club this summer if they are relegated from La Liga.

AC Milan are keen on the 23-year-old, with Real Madrid also taking an interest in his future.

With Real's main target, Camavinga, valued at €60million by Rennes, they view Roca as a cheap alternative.

However, according to Larazon, Arsenal are the most likely to sign him.
