Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Tierney deal agreed, Gunners shift target from Rugani to Luiz

There are only hours left in the summer transfer window for Arsenal to do their business.

The Gunners have completed four signings, with William Saliba, Dani Ceballos, Gabriel Martinelli and Nicolas Pepe all arriving this summer, but another is on the horizon, with a deal agreed for Kieran Tierney.

Arsenal are still eyeing one or two more deals, with a centre-back reportedly on the agenda.

Below, we take a look at the latest transfer rumours involving the Gunners for players who could arrive - and leave.

Kieran Tierney

Arsenal have finally agreed a £25m deal with Celtic for Kieran Tierney.

The 22-year-old was spotted with his agent at Edinburgh Airport on Wednesday evening heading to London.

Tierney is expected to sign a five-year contract at the Emirates Stadium.

Daniele Rugani

According to  Goal , a move to bring Juventus defender Daniele Rugani to the club is all but over, with sources at the club insist that the Italian ‘will not be joining’.

Arsenal had made a two-year loan offer to the Serie A side last week, but that was rejected.

The Gunners will now focus on RB Leipzig centre back Dayot Upamecano, with the clubs still in talks.

Leipzig are reportedly demanding £75m for the defender.

David Luiz

Chelsea defender David Luiz is reportedly trying to force through a move to Arsenal this summer.

According to  L’Equipe , the Gunners have submitted an offer for the 32-year-old after agreeing to sell captain Laurent Koscielny to Bordeaux.

The Brazil international is apparently determined to make the move to north London, and has pulled out of training to try and force through a move.

The  Mail  report that Arsenal technical director Edu has played a large role in the Gunners’ targeting of the Brazilian centre-back, who is hopeful that a deal can be concluded.

They state that no formal offer has yet been made.

The  Telegraph  state that Luiz has made it clear to Chelsea that he wants to leave, and the club are open to letting him go.

Despite Luiz speaking positively about the new era under Frank Lampard, there have apparently been a number of fall-outs behind the scenes.
