Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Thomas Partey boost, Felipe Anderson offered Gunners switch

Arsenal are just over a week away from kicking off their new Premier League season.

Mikel Arteta's men have already officially started their season, winning the Community Shield against Premier League champions Liverpool.

But it's all about the league campaign and the Gunners are racing against the clock to bring in new players ahead of the big kick-off.

Below, we run you through all the latest rumours and gossip.

Arsenal's next move after Gabriel

Partey boost

Arsenal have received a boost in their bid to land Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey.

According to AS, the midfielder has rejected advances from Portuguese giants FC Porto.

Porto are said to have tracked Partey for some time but the midfielder reportedly rejected any talk of leaving for Portugal before they even made a solid proposal.

That's good news for Arsenal as they look to win him over with an offer of their own.

Anderson offered

The Gunners have been offered the chance to sign West Ham United star Felipe Anderson on loan this summer.

Arteta is said to be a big fan of the Brazilian, and he might just get his man if reports in the Daily Mirror are to be believed.

They claim Arsenal could land Anderson on a temporary deal, but they would have to pay Premier League rivals West Ham £5million for the privilege.

Anderson managed just one goal and four Premier League assists from out wide last season.

Torreira latest

Arsenal have received no offers for out-of-favour Lucas Torreira.

According to Sky Sports, Arteta has been told to make a firm decision on whether he wants the Uruguayan or not ahead of this season.

Reports suggest Torreira will not be kept around, the midfielder linked with a move to Fiorentina.

But Sky say there have been no firm offers just yet.

“A potential departure from Arsenal concerns Lucas Torreira," said Dharmesh Sheth.

“I’ve been in contact with Sky Italy journalist Gianluca di Marzio and he tells me Fiorentina and Torino are interested in Torreira.

“His agent, however, has said there are no official offers on the table but has been quoted as saying Arsenal need to work out if they need Lucas Torreira.”
