Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Scouts sent to watch forward, Grillitsch update, Maja admission

Arsenal have endured an indifferent campaign to date but the summer will offer an opportunity to solve some of their issues.

Mikel Arteta may be focused on ending the 2019/20 campaign as high up the Premier League as possible and attempting to win the FA Cup, but they will also have one eye on the summer.

Arsenal send scouts to watch forward

Arsenal are set to send scouts to monitor Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi, according to reports.

Berardi has emerged as a potential summer transfer window option after it was revealed that the Gunners have sent scouts out to Italy, per CalcioMercato.

The 25-year-old has been in good form this season for the Italians, having scored nine goals this term and ten goals last season.

Gunners eye midfielder

Arsenal may attempt to make a move for Hoffenheim midfielder Florian Grillitsch this summer.

Sport Bild claim that Arsenal are one of three Premier League teams interested in signing the 24-year-old playmaker.

Newcastle United and Southampton are the two other sides who have been linked with the Austrian international.

Maja admission

Nigeria international Josh Maja has revealed that Arsenal are his favourite club amid links with a move away from Bordeaux.

The London-born striker who previously in the youth teams of Crystal Palace and Fulham, and trained with Manchester youth teams before moving to Sunderland in 2016.

Maja, 21, has now admitted his love for Arsenal and desire to play for them one day.

"Obviously, growing up in London, one of my dreams is to play in the Premier League," Maja said to beIN Ligue 1 Confo.

"Hopefully in the future, that opportunity will come. My team is Arsenal, so hopefully one day I’ll get the opportunity to play for them. If not, then I’ll keep supporting them anyway."
