Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Saliba terms agreed, Izzo's agent flies into London for talks

With the club season well and truly over, Arsenal are now looking ahead to next campaign.

While the Gunners delivered initial improvement under Unai Emery, including a 22-game unbeaten run, recording more points and reaching a European final, the north Londoners again missed out on their ultimate goal of Champions League qualification.

Arsenal have already confirmed the departures of Danny Welbeck, Petr Cech, Aaron Ramsey and Stephan Lichtsteiner; and the squad is set for an overhaul this summer, so who will arrive at the Emirates to replace them? Here's a look at the latest Arsenal transfer rumours:

William Saliba

According to Yahoo Sport France, Arsenal will make their first bid for £26m-rated William Saliba this week as they look to prise the 18-year-old away from Saint-Etienne.

The central defender is a key target for the Gunners, with Unai Emery ready to strengthen his defensive options this summer.

Reports in France claim the north London side have already agreed personal terms with Saliba, with only a transfer fee to be decided upon.

Armando Izzo

According to  Tutto Mercato Web , the agent of Torino centre-back Armando Izzo is currently in London with a view to holding talks with Arsenal over a possible transfer.

Torino are said not to be keen on selling on of their prized assets, but it seems that the player could be targeting a summer move to the Emirates.

Lucas Torreira

Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira is said to be ‘top of the list’ for incoming Milan manager Marco Giampaolo this summer.

Lucas Torreira

Giampaolo was Torreira’s manager at Sampdoria before the Uruguay international’s £27m move to the Gunners last season. Despite a good first year at the Emirates Stadium, Torreira has apparently “not been seduced” by life in London, and is considering a move back to Italy, with Napoli also said to be interested.

And Gazzetta dello Sport via Sport Witness claim that Giampaolo has placed Torreira “at the top of his list” for signings this summer. The midfielder would reportedly cost “at least €35m”, but likely much, much more.

Joachim Andersen

The Dane has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Tottenham, and speaking to Danish newspaper BT, the defender explained:

"There’s a lot of interest and I look at my options. I have loved my time in Sampdoria – both the fans, the president, the staff, the players and the city, but it’s time to move on so I can develop even more."

Carl Jenkinson

Championship side West Bomwich Albion are in talks with Arsenal over signing Jenkinson according to Sky Sports , with Celtic also said to be interested in a deal.

Jenkinson played just nine times in all competitions for Arsenal last season, and a move away from the Emirates may be best for all parties.
