Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Runarsson deal close, 'two offers' for striker, Balogun latest

Arsenal's summer transfer window just got a lot better.

The Gunners signed star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to a new three-year contract on Tuesday, and the deal is perhaps the best signing of Arsenal's window so far.

Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta and Edu have also signed Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes during this window, and more arrivals are expected ahead of the October deadline.

With that in mind, we run you through all the latest Gunners transfer rumours below.

Runarsson nears Arsenal move

Runar Alex Runarsson is said to be close to completing a switch to Arsenal.

According to DV, the goalkeeper underwent a medical ahead of his move to the Gunners on Monday.

It's expected the Dijon goalkeeper will sign for a fee of around £1.5million, signing a five-year deal worth £40,000 per week.

Runarsson is 25 years of age and a five-time Iceland international.

Cheeky offer for Balogun

Arsenal have rejected an offer from Premier League rivals Sheffield United for Folarin Balogun.

According to the Daily Mail, the Gunners received a cheeky offer of around £3million for Balogun, despite turning down an offer of £5million from Brentford earlier this year.

Arsenal, if they do sell, are said to want a deal worth £15million with at least £8million upfront, plus performance-related add-ons.

The 19-year-old scored 10 times in 15 league appearances last season for the under-23s, also assisting four times.

'Two offers' for Aubameyang

Arsenal may have dodged a bullet with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

According to Sky Sports, there were 'two major offers' for the Gabon international during this transfer window.

The Gunners rejected them and have now, of course, agreed a new three-year contract with the forward.

The story could have ended very differently, it seems, but Aubameyang did say the new deal was 'never in doubt'.
