Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Partey offer, Arteta's Aubameyang stance, Edu negotiating deal

Arsenal are just days away from returning after more than three months with their first Premier League game back set for Wednesday evening.

The Gunners will be desperate to improve on their efforts so far when they do restart, but boss Mikel Arteta knows he must also begin preparations for next season, when Arsenal will be hoping to make a much better go at it.

The coronavirus shutdown has given clubs plenty of time to identify potential transfer targets for what could be an intriguing summer transfer window at the Emirates Stadium and beyond.

The impact of Arsenal's lost match-day income

Here we have the latest transfer gossip surrounding the Gunners.

Partey offer

Arsenal have offered to triple Thomas Partey’s wages as the Gunners continue to push to sign the Atletico Madrid midfielder.

The Ghana midfielder is thought to be on Mikel Arteta's transfer wishlist, but the head coach may have to offload players before he is able to bring in new signings following the coronavirus pandemic.

And Goal claims Partey is weighing up his options after receiving a huge contract offer from the Gunners.

The report adds that the Gunners prepared to triple his wages he currently pockets at Atletico if he agrees to join this summer.

Arteta ‘determined’ to keep Aubameyang

Mikel Arteta is determined to convince Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to sign a new contract with Arsenal.

Aubameyang is the club’s top goal-scorer this season with 17 Premier League goals and scored an additional 22 Premier League goals last season.

But the forward only has one year left on his Arsenal contract and there has been no breakthrough in negotiations over a new deal at the Emirates.

And according to the Evening Standard, Arteta wants the 30-year-old to have a key role in his team beyond next season as he begins a rebuilding job at the Emirates.

Walce linked

Reports in Brazil are linking Arsenal with young Sao Paulo defender Walce.

The 21-year-old has drawn attention from foreign scouts, with Global Esporte (via Sport Witness ) linking him to Arsenal.

The report goes on to claim that Gunners chief Edu had been personally negotiating the signing.

Walce has played four times for his club and also represented Brazil at Under-23 level.
