The season is over and with Europa League defeat to Chelsea, we finally know Arsenal will have a modest transfer budget in comparison to if they'd qualified for Europe's premier competition.
While the Gunners delivered improvement under Unai Emery, recording more points and reaching a step further in Europe, the outcome has been the same and only served to prove that there are still a number of changes needed to reach the next level.
With the likes Danny Welbeck, Petr Cech, Aaron Ramsey and Stephan Lichtsteiner leaving the club, the squad is set for an overhaul this summer, so take a look at the latest Arsenal transfer rumours below:
Thomas Meunier
The race to sign PSG right-back Thomas Meunier is apparently intensifying.
The 27-year-old is a “wanted man”, according to Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur , with Arsenal and Manchester United both vying for his signature.
Unai Emery is reportedly the main man pushing for a deal with the Gunners, having worked with Meunier in Paris. However, the Belgian international is a lifelong Manchester United fan, and has even attended games at Old Trafford this season.
PSG are keen to sell at the right price, and will reportedly ask for around €25m to break Meunier’s contract.
According to Canal +, Meunier is Emery’s "absolute number one transfer priority" this summer.
Meunier has been speaking to French television channel Les News 24 and hinted at his future.
Stephan Lichtsteiner
Stephan Lichtsteiner has posted on Instagram and it seemingly confirms his expected departure from Arsenal.
The Swiss defender’s contract was up this summer and it will not be renewed.
Aaron Ramsey replacements
Arsenal have been linked with a move for Exequiel Palacios, Nahitan Nandez or Emanuel Reynoso as they to replace Aaron Ramsey at the Emirates.
Ramsey is heading to Juventus and the Gunners are looking to raid the Argentinian top flight, with Palacios at River Plate and Boca Juniors owning Nandez and Reynoso.
TNT Sports report that one of the three could be heading to the club in the summer.
Youssef En-Nesyri
According to a report in Moroccan publication Assahifa Al Ousbouia , Arsenal have contacted Leganes striker Youssef En-Nesyri.
The Morocco international scored 11 goals in 34 games last season for the La Liga side to help them to a 13th place finish.
