Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Man United to battle Gunners for target, €60m bid considered

There is under a week left in the summer transfer window for Arsenal to do their business.

The Gunners have now completed four signings, as William Saliba, Dani Ceballos and 18-year-old Brazilian forward Gabriel Martinelli were joined at the Emirates Stadium by Nicolas Pepe, with the Gunners sealing a sensational swoop for the Lille winger on Thursday.

On the pitch, Arsenal have completed their pre-season tour of the United States of America, and were beaten by Lyon in Emirates Cup on Sunday.

They drew 1-1 with Angers on Wednesday, before winning on penalties as they stepped up their preparations for the start of the Premier League season.

Below, we take a look at the latest transfer rumours involving the Gunners for players who could arrive - and leave.

Wilfried Zaha

According to the  Mail , Napoli are set to join the race for WIlfried Zaha and are willing to pay €60m for the Ivory Coast international.

However, Palace’s position has not changed – Zaha is not for sale and has four years left on his contract.

The winger has been linked with Arsenal all summer, but the capture of Nicolas Pepe has made a deal for Zaha unlikely.

Everton are also interested in the 26-year-old and have had a £55m bid rejected.

Daniele Rugani

Manchester United could potentially make a move for Arsenal target Daniele Rugani, according to reports.

With Eric Bailly out for four-to-five months following a knee injury suffered against Spurs in pre-season, United are considering adding a new centre-back.

And while a deal for Harry Maguire could yet be done this summer, the club are said to be considering alternatives, with Juventus centre-back Rugani one of the options, according to Gazzetta dello Sport (via  Sport Witness ).

Maurizio Sarri is apparently considering allowing one of his five centre-backs to leave, with Rugani, Merih Demiral and Leonardo Bonucci the likely candidates.

Issa Diop

Arsenal approached West Ham about signing Issa Diop three weeks ago,  Foot Mercato reports.

The Gunners are in the market for defensive reinforcements ahead of the window’s close next week, amidst continued speculation on Laurent Koscielny’s future.

However, the Hammers demanded a fee of £65m for Diop and that fee is likely to have put Arsenal off a move.

Kieran Tierney

Kieran Tierney should feel under no pressure to justify becoming the most expensive player in Scottish football history if he completes a £25 million move to Arsenal in the coming days, according to his Celtic team-mate Craig Gordon.

"We don’t quite know what’s happening with Kieran," he told The Times . "We’ll see how things pan out.

"But he’s got all the ability in the world. It’ll be great for us if he does stay and continues to play as he has done because he’s been so consistent for so many years.

"But if he goes then it’s a great price tag. Whoever manages to get him playing for them is lucky. He’s going to be a massive player for us or anybody else."

Sami Khedira

Sami Khedira is set to leave Juventus, and according to reports he has a choice between joining Wolves and Arsenal.

Tuttomercatoweb  state that Juventus are ready to let the 32-year-old move on, because of his fairly large wages and the low amount of playing time he would be offered.

Arsenal have been widely rumoured to be interested in the midfielder, and  Tuttosport  state that he can decide whether he wants to join Arsenal or Wolves.
