Arsenal have less than two weeks before the start of their new season, with the Community Shield clash against Liverpool at Wembley Stadium on the horizon.
That means there is now a short timeframe for new signings to arrive before the 2020/21 campaign begins, although the window will remain open until October 5.
A plethora of names have been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium, with Mikel Arteta and Edu in control following Raul Sanllehi's exit on Saturday.
Here, we have gathered some of the latest snippets surrounding the north London side.
Gabriel Magalhaes boost
Arsenal have been handed a boost in the hunt to land Lille's Gabriel Magalhaes as the number of sides they're battling for his services has decreased.
Le 10 Sport have stated that the Gunners, along with Napoli, have had a bid accepted for the Brazilian and he will make a decision on his future at the 'beginning of next week'.
That opens the door for an imminent move, with Gabriel having the final decision on his destination, but their appears to be little danger of him moving to a rival.
The report also says that Manchester United have cooled their interest in order to focus on signing Benoit Badiashile from Monaco.
Goalkeeper departure accepted
Arsenal are ready to let goalkeeper Ben Sheaf leave the club and have accepted a £750,000 offer from Championship outfit Coventry City, according to the Sun on Sunday's print edition.
Sheaf caught the eye for his displays on loan with Doncaster Rovers and his performances have led to vast interest in his services in the window.
Coventry are keen on landing him permanently for their return to the second-tier and Arteta's side are ready to approve his departure having accepted a bid.
However, it is suggested that Coventry are starting to consider other options.
Galatasaray enter Elneny hunt
Galatasaray have joined Turkish rivals Besiktas in the hunt for forgotten Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny, Turkish-Football states.
The Egypt international spent last season on loan with Besiktas and they want him to return, although that seems unlikely due to a pay dispute.
That put Trabzonspor as favourites to land his services but Galatasaray have entered the running, with preliminary talks underway and the club preparing to make a formal loan offer to the Gunners.
A permanent option is not on the cards for either club due to their current financial situation but Arsenal could face the two sides against each other in discussions around a loan fee and wage payment structure.
