Arsenal maintained their winning start to the Premier League season with a hard-fought 2-1 win over West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium last night.
A late strike from substitute Eddie Nketiah sealed all three points for Mikel Arteta's side after Hammers striker Michail Antonio cancelled out Alexandre Lacazette's bullet header.
The win over the Hammers ensured the Gunners maintained their 100 per cent record at the start of the 2020/21 campaign, offering plenty of encouragement to Arteta and the Gunners supporters.
Despite the strong start to the campaign, Arsenal who face Leicester City in the Carabao Cup third round at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday evening, are still eager to add to their squad, most notably in midfield.
With that in mind, here is a round-up of all the very latest Arsenal transfer rumours and gossip.
Edouard hammer blow
Arsenal's hopes of adding Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard to their squad before the transfer window closes in just over a fortnight's time have been handed a blow.
That is because Neil Lennon - the Celtic boss - has ruled out the prospect of the Frenchman leaving the Scottish giants before the bell, despite having been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in recent months.
"I don't want to sell him," Lennon said, as quoted by SportsMole.
"We have had no bids and no confirmed interest in him so I am hoping by the end of the window he is still a Celtic player.
"He is not for sale. It is all speculation at the minute. The club will do what is best for the club and we will act accordingly if any scenario comes up but there is nothing to report on that at the minute."
Gunners target teenage sensation
Reading youngster Michael Olise has emerged as a shock transfer target for Arsenal, according to a report by Football League World, who also claim that Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also keen on the young French midfielder.
Olise, 18, has risen through the youth ranks at the Madejski Stadium and has now been promoted to the first-team.
The youngster, who operates as an attacking-midfielder, made 19 Championship appearances last season and scored his first senior goal in the Royals' 2-0 win over Barnsley yesterday, netting a sumptuous volley.
The report claims, at this stage, Arsenal are only tracking Olise's progress and have not yet lodged a formal bid for his services.
Lyon issue Aouar warning
French club Lyon have admitted that they are not too concerned about the prospect of losing midfield ace Houssem Aouar before the window closes as the Gunners are not yet willing to meet their demands.
The club's president, Jean-Michel Aulas, has admitted that Arsenal have not yet made on offer that matches their £45million valuation of the midfielder.
“There is no offer yet,” Aulas said.
“It seems that Arsenal don’t want to, or can’t invest the price for Houssem, who is our best player.”
