Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Lucas Torreira exit, £40m Marcos Paulo deal, Thomas Partey swap

Arsenal are still looking to add to their squad before the summer transfer deadline day on Monday, October 5.

It is exactly four weeks until the summer transfer window shuts, and the Gunners have been pretty busy already.

Willian, Gabriel Magalhaes, Dani Ceballos and Cedric Soares have all arrived at the Emirates Stadium this summer so far, and it looks like Mikel Arteta is looking to add even more fresh faces.

Emi Martinez transfer could help fund Houssem Aouar deal

With that being said, here are the very latest Arsenal-related transfer rumours.

Torreira close to switch back to Italy

Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira is closing in on a move back to Italy, according to a report in Calciomercato.

The Italian publication says that the Gunners and Serie A side Torino have reached an agreement “in the last few hours”.

The Uruguay midfielder is set to leave the Emirates for a €24m fee - the report states - but there are still some other details to be sorted before the move is official.

Torreira has been at Arsenal since signing from Sampdoria in 2018, and has played over 50 games for the Gunners.

Arsenal linked with £40m attacker

Arsenal are interested in Portuguese attacker Marcos Paulo, according to TeamTalk, but are losing the race to West Ham United.

The 19-year-old plays for Fluminense, and has established himself as one of the most exciting young talents in the Brazilian top-flight.

However, the Gunners appear to be behind in the race, with the report claiming West Ham have made an official approach for Paulo.

The teenager, who is Brazilian by birth but has represented Portugal at youth level, is also a target for Leeds United, Watford and Southampton.

Guendouzi keen for Partey swap deal

Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi is keen to be involved in a swap deal that would see him move to Atletico Madrid, and Thomas Partey go the other way.

The Daily Mail are reporting that the Gunners could offer a player in any potential deal for Partey, who has been a reported target all summer-long.

Guendouzi has fallen out of favour under Arteta, and he could be used as a part of the deal to bring the highly-rated Ghanaian midfielder to the Emirates.

The report states that the French midfielder would be interested in leaving north London and moving to the Spanish capital.
