Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Layvin Kurzawa blow, Achraf Hakimi battle, wonderkid eyed

Here are the Arsenal transfer rumours for Thursday, April 9.

London clubs to battle for Hakimi

Arsenal and London rivals Tottenham and Chelsea are ready to battle it out for Borussia Dortmund’s on-loan right-back Achraf Hakimi this summer.

Hakimi has enjoyed a strong season at Dortmund from fellow European giants Real Madrid on a two-year loan deal.

This is the Moroccan’s second season in Germany and in 65 games, Hakimi has scored 10 goals and assisted 17 times in all competitions.

Will Arsenal overhaul their defence?

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are all interested in the right-back if he looks to leave Madrid at the end of this season

However, the London teams will face stern competition from Juventus, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain according to the report.

Gunners eye Boro wonderkid

Arsenal, Chelsea and Celtic are all interested in Middlesbrough striker Calum Kavanagh, according to the Herald.

The 16-year-old has been attracting interest from the English and Scottish top-flights after some impressive performances at youth level.

The same report suggests that Arsenal and Chelsea have the advantage in the transfer, as both London sides are preparing a bid for the striker.

Kavanagh is the son of former Cardiff City midfielder Graham Kavanagh.

Kurzawa set to snub Arsenal

PSG full-back Layvin Kurzawa is reportedly set to snub Arsenal in favour of a move for Barcelona on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Kurzawa’s contract at Parc des Princes runs out at the end of the 2019/20 campaign, where he will see out his current deal to leave on a free transfer.

The 27-year-old is more interested in joining Barcelona than any other club, according to Spanish publication Sport.

The same report says that the Gunners have already offered Kurzawa a chance to come to the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season, but he is set to turn that down.
