Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Inter eye Hector Bellerin and Aubameyang's €35m fee

Here are your latest transfer rumours for Monday, April 6.

Milan reignite chase for Gunners midfielder

Italian giants AC Milan are once again on the hunt for Lucas Torreira according to Corriere dello Sport.

Torreira was part of a failed bid from Milan last summer, and it would appear that the club have not given up hope of landing him. Interestingly, the report claims that Torreira has signalled to Milan– through his agent, that he’s open to returning to Italy.

Art de Roche's full Arsenal Q&A

Torreira first moved to Europe with Pescara in 2013, and after making just a handful of appearances for the club, he joined Sampdoria in 2015. It was there that he made a name for himself, eventually joining Arsenal in July 2018 for a fee in the region of £26million.

Corriere dello Sport add that Milan’s biggest obstacle ahead of any deal is Arsenal’s price tag, which is believed to be in the region of €40million. The club are not against selling players to facilitate the move, with Franck Kessie and Lucas Paqueta likely to depart the club when the transfer window reopens.

Bellerin on Inter’s radar

This summer could be an important moment for Hector Bellerin, who is being chased by Inter Milan.

A report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews claims that Antonio Conte is seeking a young alternative to Antonio Candreva and that Bellerin has been identified as that player. Conte signed Victor Moses in January, but the Nigerian international is unlikely to remain in Italy past the end of his loan deal.

It is claimed Inter CEO Beppe Marotta had already developed an admiration for Bellerin from his time at Juventus, but a severe injury dissuaded the club from making a formal approach.

Arsenal are themselves at a critical juncture, with Bellerin’s future one of many issues up for debate. Mike Arteta is likely to overhaul the playing squad in the summer, and it remains to be seen just who fits into the Spaniard’s plans.

Gunners striker could cost just €35million

The future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is just one of many situations that Mikel Arteta must resolve this summer.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker joined Arsenal in 2018 and has been the subject of speculation linking him with a move away from the club this season.

The striker is in the final year of his contract with the Gunners, and it is up to the club to decide whether to extend his deal or allow him to leave the club before he walks away for free.

Gazzetta dello Sport examined his situation on Monday and said that while Arsenal were reportedly demanding €50m in January, that figure has now dropped to one in the region of €35m.
