With the transfer window open, Arsenal are now looking ahead to next campaign and how to strengthen their squad.
While the Gunners delivered initial improvement under Unai Emery, including a 22-game unbeaten run, recording more points and reaching a European final, the north Londoners again missed out on their ultimate goal of Champions League qualification.
Arsenal have already confirmed the departures of Danny Welbeck, Petr Cech, Aaron Ramsey and Stephan Lichtsteiner; and the squad is set for an overhaul this summer, so who will arrive at the Emirates to replace them? Here's a look at the latest Arsenal transfer rumours:
Wilfried Zaha
According to the Mail, Wilfried Zaha has informed Crystal Palace of his desire to leave the club and for them to find an agreement with Arsenal.
The Gunners want to sign the Ivory Coast winger this summer, but Palace’s asking price of £80m is too steep for Unai Emery’s side.
However, Sky Sports report that Arsenal representatives have already held initial talks with Palace and are expected to make an offer for the 26-year-old.
Shkodran Mustafi
According to Turkish outlet Aksam, Fenerbahce officials are due in the UK next week for talks with Arsenal over a year-long loan for Skhodran Mustafi.
David Ornstein, who was speaking on BBC 5Live, claims the Gunners have tried to sell Mustafi on multiple occasions, but Emery had maintained faith in the defender. However, that is now gone.
"I was told after the Europa League final that Unai Emery, who had always put his faith in Shkodran Mustafi despite a number of high-profile mistakes, has decided enough is enough with him and he is no longer in favour of keeping him, so he could be sold.
"Arsenal have tried to sell him almost every window since they signed him."
Gary Cahill
Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a shock contract offer to Gary Cahill this summer after the defender’s release from Chelsea.
According to 90min, there is also significant interest from West Ham, Crystal Palace and also newly promoted Aston Villa - where the former Chelsea skipper played for four years during the early part of his career.
Cahill was largely marginalised last season by Maurizio Sarri, with the former Chelsea boss preferring to play David Luiz, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
