Arsenal have just two-and-a-half weeks to conclude deals in this summer's transfer window.
Mikel Arteta's side have been busy recently, with Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez departing north London for a £20m move to Aston Villa.
The Gunners have already added Willian, Gabriel Magalhaes, Dani Ceballos and Cedric Soares to their ranks this summer.
But supporters will be hoping to see more additions come through the door as they aim to tackle the 2020/21 Premier League season in the best shape.
Here are the latest Arsenal rumours doing the rounds.
Aouar update
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed that his side will not be looking to sign any central midfielders before the transfer window closes.
City have already signed three players as Guardiola looks to strengthen his squad in an attempt to win back the Premier League title from Liverpool.
Nathan Ake has joined from Bournemouth defender in deal worth £41million, whilst winger Ferran Torres was signed from Valencia. Scott Carson was also re-signed on a season-long loan deal from Derby County.
But it was in midfield where City were touted to spend big money in order to improve their squad, with Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium.
Despite various reports in France linking Aouar to City, our sister site MEN understands Guardiola's side have never actively pursued a deal for the 22-year-old throughout the summer.
Instead, it is Arsenal who appear to be frontrunners for the midfielder's signature, with Lyon sporting director Juninho previously admitting that the Gunners made an offer for Aouar, with midfielder Matteo Guendouzi offered in exchange, but the bid was rejected.
Arsenal suffer £10m transfer blow
Arsenal have suffered a blow in their bid to replace Emiliano Martinez after a £10million bid for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya was rejected, according to reports.
The Gunners are keen to sign a new back-up shot-stopper to compete with Bernd Leno after sanctioning the £20million sale of Martinez.
The Argentine had impressed at the end of the 2019/20 season with Leno out injured which heightened his desire for regular first-team football.
Brentford, however, are reluctant to sell Raya and would only sanction a deal if he was loaned back to them.
Runarsson deal close
Arsenal have taken a step closer to securing their replacement for Emi Martinez with Runar Alex Runarsson's move from Dijon edging closer.
football.london understands the goalkeeper has travelled to London to complete the deal, as first reported by Goal. With the Premier League fixture against West Ham to play on Saturday an imminent announcement is unlikely but could take place in the next 48-72 hours.
Mikel Arteta was specifically asked about Runarsson in his pre-match press conference on Friday [September 18] and had this to say:
"Obviously with the departure of Emi, which is a big loss and someone that I think we all wish the best to for what he has done for the football club as well as the person that he is - we have to replace him," he began.
