Arsenal return to Premier League action this evening when they take on Liverpool at Anfield.
It is the first of two trips to Merseyside in three days for Mikel Arteta’s side, who will face Jurgen Klopp’s side once more in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
These two sides have already faced each other this season, with Arsenal beating Liverpool in the Community Shield last month.
The Gunners have started the new Premier League season well, with back-to-back wins over London rivals Fulham and West Ham United, with those two triumphs coming prior to a Carabao Cup victory against Leicester City.
Whilst the form has been perfect on the pitch, the club are still being linked with bolstering their midfield before the European transfer window closes next Monday night.
Here are the latest Arsenal transfer rumours.
Aouar refuses to speak on future
Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar refused to speak about his future after Lyon’s meeting with Lorient yesterday.
Aouar has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer and yesterday, featured as Lyon were held to a 1-1 draw.
When asked about his future, Aouar replied: "I will give you an interview after the match but I will not talk about my future,” as published by the Express.
"There are contact with clubs, I don’t know yet. We’ll see what happens in the future."
Partey dropped amid Arsenal links
Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey was dropped to the bench for their 6-1 win over Granada yesterday.
Partey has been a regular starter at the Wanda Metropolitano under Diego Simeone, but instead, Simeone started with a midfield pairing of Koke and Saul.
The Senegalese midfielder is said to have support Arsenal as a boy, and yesterday’s team selection may hint that Simeone is planning for life without Partey.
Chelsea fans on Jorginho
Paris Saint-Germain have become the latest club to have been linked with a move to sign Chelsea’s vice-captain Jorginho.
The Italian midfielder was linked with a surprise switch to the Emirates Stadium last week.
Some Blues fans feel that they no longer need Jorginho and that he would not be lost if he left Stamford Bridge.
